As the Gonzaga Bulldogs prepare for the offseason, they’ve kept a close eye on the staggering number of names that have entered the NCAA basketball transfer portal since Selection Sunday ended.
According to 247Sports, around 650 players have accessed the site since March 18, with more expected before it closes on May 1. That window excludes gamers who are eligible to graduate and can access the site at any time as a “grad transfer.” Furthermore, any player on a team that sacked its head coach will be given a 30-day window in which to access the portal, which is not limited to the March 18-May 1 period.
The Zags have already landed Pepperdine wing Michael Ajayi, who announced his transfer to Gonzaga on March 27. As a junior, the 6-foot-7 wing from Kentwood High School in Washington averaged 17.2 points and 9.9 rebounds and was named to the All-WCC first team. He shot 46.7% from the field and 47.0% from three points.
Here’s a list of players on the transfer portal who the Zags are supposedly interested in. We will continue to update this list during the offseason.
