One of Kentucky basketball’s big men has finally returned.
According to KSR’s Sources Say podcast, seven-foot-one, 226-pound rookie Aaron Bradshaw, a five-star recruit, is expected to return to practice today.
After missing the first five games of the season due to surgery, Bradshaw is now fit and has a minimal chance of playing against Miami the following week.
In fact, Coach John Calipari may decide not to start Bradshaw against one of Kentucky’s harder opponents; as a result, it appears more likely that he will play against UNC Wilmington on December 2 or Penn on December 9.
Bradshaw’s return to the Kentucky starting lineup has made life much easier for veteran Tre Mitchell, who has been the Wildcats’ starting center despite being a 6-foot-9 tweener who can play both four and five positions. The Wildcats’ frontcourt would surely benefit from more height beyond Mitchell.
