Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was named to the All-Pro squad for the first time in 2023, after recording an NFL-high 135 receptions.
Lamb’s contract is up for renewal, and he will earn $17.991 million in 2024 from the fifth-year option. He was asked about contract negotiations on Micah Parsons’ podcast The Edge.
According to a transcript supplied by Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com, Lamb remarked, “I can’t give you no numbers right now, but I’ll tell you this, [I want to be] one of the top paid receivers for sure, if not the [highest-paid receiver].” “That’s the objective always.”
Because they didn’t want to be the recipient, the Cowboys traded Amari Cooper to Cleveland and promoted Lamb to the starting lineup. Cooper is presently ranked 11th among players at his position. Tyreek Hill is the highest paid person, earning an average of $30 million per year. Give him a $20 million base contract for 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson are expected to exceed that. Lamb Will?
In addition, Parsons is eligible for a contract extension, and Dak Prescott, the Cowboys’ quarterback, has a $59.5 million cap hit in 2024—the final year of his contract.
However, Lamb has made it plain where he wants to play for the rest of his career.
Without a question. That’s not a secret, Lamb said Parsons, referring to his longtime devotion to the Cowboys.
