The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are delighted to announce the signing of veteran forward Zane Tetevano.
The 33-year-old returns to the NRL on a one-year contract, and General Manager of Football Phil Gould welcomed him to Belmore today, saying, “Zane is a highly respected senior player who will bring leadership and work ethic to our group.”
The International prop began his career with the Newcastle Knights, having moved from New Zealand as a teenager to pursue their opportunities. He made his NRL debut for the Knights in 2011, followed by three seasons with the Roosters, where he played in the 2018 Grand Final victory. He later signed a two-year contract with Penrith before being released to join the Leeds Rhinos. Tetevano played over 120 games in the NRL.
Tetevano has ten international caps for the Cook Islands and three Test matches for New Zealand.
Tetevano was released by Leeds last year on medical grounds, but he has since passed a fitness test and accepted the offer at Canterbury. The new recruit started training with the Bulldogs earlier today.
