ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Blues placed two of its defensemen on injured reserve and recalled its 2021 first-round draft pick on Tuesday,
The team announced it recalled forward Zach Bolduc, 20, from the Springfield Thunderbirds, its AHL affiliate.
He was selected No. 17 overall in the 2021 NHL Draft from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He spent a total of four seasons in the QMJHL recording 145 goals and 145 assists (290 points) in 208 games.
Bolduc has played in 48 games for the Thunderbirds this season. He has 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists), best for seventh on the team overall.
The Blues also placed defenseman Justin Faulk on long-term injured reserve and defenseman Scott Perunovich on injured reserve.
Faulk has missed the past 10 games and Perunovich has missed the past seven, both with lower-body injuries.
The Blues’ next game will be on Thursday, Feb. 22, against the New York Islanders. St. Louis has lost three of its last four games and has an overall record of 29-24-2.
