Dockers has signed a star to increase forward depth.

After failing to play a senior game for Essendon, a Bombers forward has found a new AFL home in the west.

The 20-year-old has worked hard in pre-season since joining Justin Longmuir’s team at the end of November, scoring four goals in match simulation last weekend to help secure his spot.

During the SSP, the Dockers also tried out former St Kilda winger Daniel McKenzie, Claremont key forward Sam van Rooyen, and Woodville-West Torrens small forward Max Beattie, but they ultimately chose the former Bomber.

It comes after Collingwood signed Josh Eyre, Jack Bytel, and Lachie Sullivan as SSP rookies earlier on Thursday.

Voss will add depth to Fremantle’s attack alongside key strikers Jye Amiss, Josh Treacy, and Matt Taberner.

The GWS Giants Academy product was regarded unlucky not to be handed another contract at Essendon after winning the VFL best and fairest during a 2023 season where he kicked 30.26 from 17 appearances, but didn’t gain a senior game.
