Fijian Drua will use Storm facilities at AAMI Park next week for a trial match against the Melbourne Rebels as part of their preparations for the 2024 Super Rugby season.

Drua, who operates out of AAMI Park, will repay the favour when Storm visits their home base in Fiji a week later.

Storm will use Drua’s gym, team meeting rooms, and training field for their second pre-season trial and a historic clash with the Newcastle Knights.

The two clubs have had a strong relationship in recent years, with Fijian Drua Coach Mick Byrne spending time with Storm last year in preparation for a blockbuster match against the Penrith Panthers at Marvel Stadium.

Former Storm CEO Mark Evans (2013-2015) is now the CEO of Fijian Drua.
