The New Jersey Devils are missing several key players and are unsure who will be in the lineup for their game against the New York Islanders.

The Devils’ attack could also be hampered by standout center Jack Hughes’ day-to-day absence due to an upper-body injury. This makes their offensive plan less predictable.

Additionally, forward Tomas Nosek’s prognosis remains unknown due to an unreported injury. This makes it harder for the Devils.New Jersey’s overall record is a solid 38-38-5, but its Metropolitan Division record is slightly less impressive, at 11-12-2. The Devils have struggled with penalties, going 10-16-4 when they have more infractions than their opponents.

The New York Islanders, on the other hand, have a 37-27-16 overall record and an even better 11-7-6 record in the Metropolitan Division. The Islanders have done particularly well in games where they score three or more goals, with a record of 33-5-11.

This marks the fourth meeting between these two teams this season. The Devils defeated the Islanders 4-0 in their last game.The New York Islanders are preparing to play the New Jersey Devils after Brock Nelson scored two terrific goals in their previous game against the New York Rangers, which they lost 3-2 in a shootout.
