Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly looking to sign Leeds United youngster Archie Gray this summer.
The 18-year-old is having a breakout season for the Whites in the Championship, as they seek automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Gray, who is primarily a midfielder, has mostly played right-back for Daniel Farke’s team this season, appearing in 37 second-tier games.
Despite only being in his first professional season, the teenager has one goal and two assists for his teammates.
Farke’s charges are aiming for a rapid return to the Premier League, with the Yorkshire club now second, one point ahead of third-placed Leicester City.
Spurs enter competition for Leeds wonderkid?
According to Football Insider, interest in Leeds’ Gray is increasing ahead of the summer transfer season.
According to the source, the second-tier Whites anticipate receiving a stream of serious offers for the 18-year-old by the end of the campaign.
Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Gray, with Ange Postecoglou looking to improve his side in North London.
Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White is also said to be a target for the Lilywhites, who are looking to qualify for the Champions League in the closing parts of the season.
Spurs are also said to be interested in signing a top-tier centre forward, having failed to replace Harry Kane after he moved to Bayern Munich last summer.
Liverpool and Everton are also interested in Gray.
Gray’s outstanding performances in the Championship at such a young age have sparked attention from Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
Liverpool, who are chasing the Premier League championship, are reportedly prepared to make an offer for the England Under-21 international in the future.
The same may be said for Everton, the Reds’ Merseyside rivals, who might be a contender for Gray if the Toffees avoid relegation to the Championship.
Furthermore, it is reported that Crystal Palace has recently deployed scouts to observe Gray’s improvement and performances in person ahead of a possible summer move.
Gray and Leeds will face top-six hopes Hull City at Elland Road on Easter Monday, looking to reclaim their Championship lead.
