Payne Haas, a Broncos prop, will undergo knee surgery next week.
Broncos Head of Performance Dave Ballard stated: “Payne met with a specialist today, and it was determined that the best course of action was for him to have an arthroscopy next week.
“We always put the player’s long-term health first, and while Payne may miss some games now, we will get a much better result when he returns with the majority of the season remaining to play.
“This kind of surgery has a recovery of up to six weeks, but we know that Payne is always very dedicated to his rehab and we expect no different this time around.”
